Memorable Musical..

‘The Sound of Music’ is one of the world’s best loved musical. Based on the true story of the Von Trapp family, The Sound of Music was the last collaboration between Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein. It is one of the most successful Oscar winning film musicals. There are a few famous songs in ‘The Sound of Music’ which are “Edelweiss”, “Do-Re-Mi”, “The Lonely Goatherd”, and et cetera. ‘ The Sound of Music’ has also won a few academy awards like best picture, best director (Robert Wise), and best adapted score. It also won the best cinematography, best costume design and et cetera.

This film is based on a real family and its true events. It tells the story of a young nun, Maria (Julie Andrews), who after proving too high spirited for the Mother Abbess and other nuns, is sent off to work as a governess to seven unruly children.

In my opinion, The Sound of Music is a very successful film. This film is full of beautiful sceneries, memorable characters and also the brilliantly attractive Rodgers and Hammerstein songs. I enjoyed this film and I think this movie is suitable for all age groups. I feel that this film is very touching as it is based on a true story. I really think that if you have not watched this film you really miss out on a classic. Start watching now and I am sure that you will fall in love with this musical.
